Julie Rose

Julie has worked for the Pre-School since 2010 and has worked in Early Years for 15 years. Due to her own love of the outdoors Julie believes in the importance of outdoor learning for all children and the benefits that it brings to children’s development. As well as her childcare qualifications, including a degree in Early Years Leadership, Julie is also a fully-trained Forest School Leader which she incorporates into the Pre-school week.

Julie is responsible for the children in the Sunflower Key Person Group.

Deputy Leader

Lee-Anne Hockton

Lee-Anne has worked for the Pre-School since 2010 and has worked in Early Years for over 25 yrs. After accessing numerous amounts of mental health training Lee-Anne has become the Pre-School’s Mental Health Champion and focusses strongly on childrens well-being. Lee-Anne is responsible for carrying out yoga and mindfulness sessions for the children as part of their Pre-School experience. Lee-Anne has a foundation degree in Arts, Early Years Play Work and Education.

Lee-Anne is responsible for the children in the Rainbow Key Person Group.

Assistant

Lesley Rainbird

Lesley has worked for the Pre-School since 2016 and has worked in Early Years for 22 years. Lesley is always thinking of ways to improve the Pre-School environment to enable the children to work more independently. Lesley also organises the Pre-School Breakfast Club. Lesley has a bachelor's degree in Early Years Teaching.

Lesley is responsible for the children in the Butterfly Key Person group.

Assistant

Emma Hammond

Emma has worked for the Pre-School since 2017 having previously worked within the Windmill Federation as an MSA and caretaker. Emma is the creative one of the team and always has lovely craft ideas. She is also a keen gardener and is responsible for getting children involved in the Pre-School garden and vegetable plot. Emma has a Level 3 Diploma for the Children’s Workforce.

Emma is responsible for the children in the Ladybird Key Person Group.

Assistant

Kara Hockton

Kara has worked for the Pre-School since September 2020 and is currently studying for her Level 3 in Early Years. Kara has a love of dance and sports; she gets the children active and involved. Kara has been invaluable during the pandemic, she is very energetic and has a caring and approachable demeanour.

Kara is responsible for the children in the             Owl Key Person group.

Vicki Hadden

Vicki joined the Pre-School in 2022 after working in residential care for 17 years. Vicki has a Level 3 Diploma. She has two children and in her spare time likes to spend time with her family both at home and on days out. 

Vicki is responsible for the children in the Hedgehog Key Person group.
